Dr. Md. Mominul Islam is a Vitreo – Retinal surgeon. He completed his MBBS from Holy Family Red Crescent Medical College in 2007. He is practicing ophthalmology since 2008. He received MCPS from the Bangladesh College of Physicians & Surgeons (BCPS) in 2011 and a Diploma in Ophthalmology from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) in 2012. He has completed a long-term Fellowship in Vitreo – Retina from Ispahani Islamia Eye Institute & Hospital and has been practicing in the retina subspecialty since 2013.

The iris controls the size of the pupil and thus regulates the amount of light entering the eye.
The retina is a light-sensitive layer at the back of the eye that contains photoreceptor cells (rods and cones).
